Make sure to visit Buckingham Palace, one of our favourite accessible landmarks in London. Explore the state rooms in the summer, or check out the infamous changing of the guard all year round.
Manual wheelchairs are available to borrow free of charge for the duration of the visit. Wheelchair users are requested to pre-book their visit by contacting the Specialist Sales team on 020 7766 7324.
Parking is available for Blue Badge holders, but must be pre-booked by contacting the Specialist Sales team.
An alternative Access Route with step-free access is available for visitors with mobility difficulties. A platform lift provides step-free access into the building from the Quadrangle. A golf buggy provides access from the Quadrangle into the garden and back but is not able to carry visitors the length of the garden.
Mobility scooters are not permitted inside the State Rooms but they can be used in the garden.
There are accessible toilets. Seating is available at the Visitor Entrance, in the Ballroom, on the West Terrace and in the Garden. Visitors can use walking sticks or folding stools, provided they have rubber stoppers.
British Sign Language video tour available and included in admission price. Printed version of audio tour transcript in large print available on request.
